Carrie Karnes-Fannin started reading when she was three and hasn't stopped since. In junior and senior high school Carrie took six years of art while working her first job, carrying her dad's equipment during his photoshoots. He paid her with soda pop, bags of buttered popcorn, and priceless life advice.
As a grown-up, Carrie graduated from the New York Institute of Photography and the Children's Book Academy. She is a member of the Society of Children's Book Writers and Illustrators (SCBWI) and still loves popcorn.
Carrie lives in the Atlanta area, where she takes photos of her dogs being silly, hikes in the woods, and makes pictures and books.
