 I’m so excited finally to share this news — my debut picture book UNIVERSE PIE is coming out in the fall of 2027! I’m so stoked that publisher Gnome Road picked up this project and paired the amazing illustrator Anita Bagdi with it. She is a talented illustrator with a number of books under her belt already and I’m grateful to have her vision folded into this book. As a new business owner (non-writing related), life has been fast and furious this year for me. But, my creative life is still at the center of my world. Who doesn’t love a kid lit writing contest? I know I do! But this is one that I get to judge instead of enter. But it’s open to YOU! The contest submission period is from February 12th - 14th. Agented, pre-agented, published, pre-published, writers of all ages and stages— all kidlit creatives are welcome to enter! Check out more info here.  Thank you to Jonathan Humble for all your hard work in organizing and editing Sky Surfing, a beautiful kidlit poetry anthology. Dozens of authors and illustrators donated their creativity to this project, which came out so well. I’m so pleased to have 2 illustrations included. Even better - funds generated from book sales will be donated to Juvenile Arthritis Research. Jonathan will have the order link up soon for anyone interested in getting their own copy.
